We had a wonderful stay at the “barn”. The place was nice and clean. Everything was up to date. Avand was very responsive during our stay. It was the perfect place to relax after a day at Yosemite. Seeing 2 baby deers playing around the property was a nice sight too. We’ll definitely recommend the place to our friends.

Spacious, comfortable, and well furnished with high end amenities and appliances including a chemex coffee maker and heated bidets. Host was very communicative and helpful with local tips. We enjoyed walking to the nearby cidery and star gazing from the upstairs balcony.

Nice to stay in. Feels disconnected from the town/city life, which is great. Mariposa is a ~20-minute drive. A bit far from Yosemite (> 1hr). Clean and comfortable. Great kitchen. Check-in a bit too late (15:00) and check-out too early IMO (10:00). Avand is very responsive. The ceiling window is way too bright to have a comfortable sleep (take eye masks). A curtain could help. Also, the front door does not have a curtain/cover, so the ground floor feels pretty exposed. The local art box was a good touch. We picked up a piece.

I started to write the day bed by the TV was very uncomfortable and the kitchen table was to small. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at the barn.

We had such a lovely stay at Barn in Mariposa. The space was the perfect size for my husband and me — cozy, peaceful, and very comfortable. Everything felt thoughtfully set up, and we especially loved starting our mornings with coffee upstairs while looking out at the trees and surrounding nature. It was such a relaxing place to come back to after our days exploring Yosemite and the Mariposa area. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend it to others looking for a quiet and charming getaway.

Beautiful space for our few day getaway for our wedding! The place was everything we wanted and matched the descriptions perfectly. The location is so serene and felt very comfortable :) 10/10 would recommend!

Really great spot for some R&R and to unwind from it all! Avand’s spot feels remote and off the grid while still being close to Oakhurst and Mariposa and only about an hour from the Yosemite gates. The unit is well appointed, cozy, quiet, modern, and just what I was hoping to find. And the Art Box, with prints from local artists, was a cool addition! Can’t wait to be back.

Lots of really positive things about this unit as shared by other guests. Unfortunately, my allergies were so bad due to pet dander that we had to leave the unit early. This was my first time ever leaving a unit early. Avand was slow to respond and refused a refund. A real bummer to lose $250+ on a place I couldn’t stay. If you do not have pet allergies, the place is as advertised.

The accommodation is located in a very quiet, rural area, offering a great opportunity to relax. It was easy to find, which made the arrival smooth and hassle-free. Everything was clean and well-maintained, contributing to an overall positive impression. One small downside, however, was the bedroom: the window and the door leading outside were not fully opaque. This made us feel a bit uncomfortable, as the level of privacy was somewhat limited. Overall, it’s a solid place to stay with some room for improvement regarding privacy.

Our stay at the Giddy Up to Yosemite was great! The location was great. Perfectly placed to be outside of town but still close to Woodland and Bootjack. And it was roughly the same distance between Mariposa and Oakhurst. Making it a great choice for those that love a small town feel, but still in a reasonable distance from more creature comforts. And also the ability to take HWY 41 or HWY 140 into Yosemite. It is a quiet property, which was great to have a place to call home during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. The stocked kitchen was phenomenal! I was able to help cook for holiday celebrations easily. And having two full bathrooms was wonderful. They even had bidets! The bed was a little on the small end, so for two people it was a little cramped. But overall it was a wonderful stay. We throughly enjoyed our time and would recommend staying here. Avand was an attentive and wonderful host. Provided information in timely manner and had all the bases covered.

Highly recommend! 1 hour to Yosemite with a beautiful drive.

This property is perfect if you want to visit Yosemite. It's about 1 hour 15 from Yosemite Village and the drive is just beautiful with so many stunning views along the way. The property was easy to find and Avand was really good with communication in getting access to the properly. It has everything you need for a trip away, I felt right at home. If I visit Yosemite again which there is no doubt I won't, I will defo be staying in this property again!

This was a perfect cozy little barn for my boyfriend and I. Having two bathrooms was a huge plus as most smaller cabins/barns only have one. Overall a great space, very beautiful.

cozy little barn in a very remote area. great as a rest place after long days at yosemite. he had a lovely guest book and one with recommendations / instructions that we definitely used. great stay! lots of wildlife around too

Our stay was okay. Definitely did not like the response from the parking as there was no clear information about it. Had asked a simple question and the response was rude. Cleanliness and privacy was not the best either as there was still leftover trash, no sponge to wash dishes, a door does not have a blind in the living room for privacy, and there were spider and webs in the restroom. The bedroom does not have a TV which was unfortunate. We did really enjoy how close it was to Yosemite and the barn was gorgeous. Recommend using YARTS very early in the AM to arrive early to Yosemite to avoid driving in Yosemite. Recommend staying in Oakhurst as there are more things to do there and plenty of supermarkets. We did love Sierra Cider that was minutes away from the Airbnb! The service was way better than what I received from the hosts.

Wonderful location and set up. The positives are the kitchen had everything we needed. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable. Overall we were very happy with this home.

Loved our stay at Barn 3388A (blue). Quiet, cozy, and felt like home. Clean space, fully stocked kitchen, and two bathrooms made it super comfortable. Hosts were very responsive. A peaceful base for Yosemite, even if nights can feel a bit spooky for city folks. Would happily stay again.

Had a great time! Wifi went out and that was a little disappointing but the house and care more than made up for it :) Do try the cider brewery nearby.

Great place to stay!

A cozy landing point between Mariposa and Yosemite for our adventures, a well-equipped kitchen for nightly cooking, really cool shower and bidet options in both bathrooms, really comfortable bed/pillows (but would note that the futon was uncomfortable for an adult), and a quiet and lovely neighborhood to be in (easy to navigate; even next to secondary rental, it felt private and we were able to use the hot tub when we wanted). Avand was easy to get a hold of when needed (we had a minor issue we needed assistance with and Avand and his crew handled it immediately and with great care).

Good and peaceful stay after Yosemite

Loved staying here after a long couple of days hiking in Yosemite. The hot tub was great and the kitchen had all the facilities we needed to make our dinners and packed lunches for the next day!

Recently stayed for a trip to Yosemite. The place was pretty much as described and overall I was pleased with my stay. Kitchen was well stocked. The AC was off upstairs and it was HOT. Nice and quiet area too.

The accommodation was really great. We were concerned that we may have been too far away from Yosemite initially, but the drive from here in Mariposa was very easy and there were hardly any other cars around. The place itself is stunning, has a lovely alpine feel to it and provides all of the amenities anyone would require. The hosts provided all the necessary information well in advance of our arrival but equally left us to ourselves the whole time which was really appreciated. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great place in the middle of a peaceful area! Perfect spot for visiting Yosemite National Park!

We stayed here for two nights to visit Yosemite and our experience was smooth from start to finish. I appreciated the thorough instructions, fully equipped kitchen so we could make ourselves breakfast, and how modern and clean everything was. Keypad entry and wifi were a breeze. The proximity to Yosemite made it easy to beat the crowds and grab dinner from Mariposa. As a bonus, we woke up our first morning to find three deer grazing just outside the window - it was so magical! Do try to arrive before nightfall, especially if you're not a confident driver, as the roads are dark and winding - this is in the instructions, but we got caught in traffic from an accident.

We loved our stay at the barn! It’s a short drive into town for restaurants or coffee in the morning. We used it as a touchdown space while exploring Yosemite. Perfect size for a couples getaway. Wish we had more time to utilize the hot tub and outdoor space.

This is a cozy little barn to spend a weekend. Yosemite valley is about an hour drive from this place. Beautiful surrounding, peaceful and quiet.

We loved our stay! About 1 hour 20 mins from Yosemite Village and was perfect for what we needed. Perfectly clean, really comfy bed. Everything there for you to be able to cook. There is a big booklet with any information you may need about the property and Yosemite with recommendations of trails and places to eat. Host was really quick to respond too. All in all really good stay.

We had a delightful stay. It was a perfect location for our Yosemite adventures, and it was wonderful to come home each day. The cottage is cozy, thoughtfully appointed and very serene. We appreciated using the hot tub after long hikes, and the bed was SO comfortable! Avand was extremely responsive and helpful when we were trying to figure out all of the details for getting to the park. We can't wait to come back!

If you're looking for the perfect spot to your Yosemite adventures, look no further than Avand's cabin! We couldn't have asked for a better setting and a more well-stocked spot to rest and relax after hiking all day. Avand was communicative and responsive as a host. The cabin has pretty much everything you could think you'd need, is very comfortable, and the hot tub was just the cherry on top!

Aavand’s place was beautiful and well-maintained. A little heads-up: There are no grocery stores or restaurants nearby. By nearby, I mean you drive at least 18-20 minutes, so grab food or groceries before you head to the Airbnb if you are driving in the evening. Keep an eye out for which route you take if driving after sunset; one of the roads is not well maintained, so when you drive up the hills at most, vigilance is needed, but otherwise, a beautiful stay at the foothills of Yosemite.

We had a great time at Avand's barn! Everything was exactly as described, the place was clean and very cozy. Made us feel right at home! Our only "complaint" is that we had only two nights there and basically only used the place to sleep between our visits to Yosemite. Otherwise we'd have definitely taken advantage of the whirlpool, spent more time watching the deer in the backyard and enjoying the beautiful surroundings! Next time we'll stay longer!

Had a blast at the Barn! Super cozy and private (probably because the Cabin next door wasn’t booked at the time but still great). Avand has everything laid out so you have a great stay. Responsive and accommodating. The only thing I wish there was more of… was time. Hope to be back soon.

My mom and I stayed here while visiting Yosemite. We LOVED the property! It was so quirky and we loved every aspect. A wildfire broke out in the days leading up to our stay and—since we were flying across the country for this trip—we were (of course) nervous. Avand was super assuring about what would happen and kept us in the loop. We decided to visit in the busy season of Yosemite, so the *wait times* into the park have nothing to do with the *drive time* into the park. We used both the South Entrance and Arch Rock Entrances and our drive time to both entrances was roughly an hour. We went through Oakhurst to the South Entrance and down back roads for the Arch Rock Entrance. Overall, we loved the property and its amenities. When (not if!) we return to Yosemite, I look forward to returning to Kaleidoscope Hill as well 😊

Avand’s place is a great place to stay for a trip to Yosemite! It is about one hour from the park entrance. The place is in a peaceful area and is exactly as listed.

Amazing place to stay somewhat close to Yosemite. The barn is absolutely beautiful, and the location too. The hosts are also fantastic. There is a hot tub too. Great air conditioning, full kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. While we were staying there, there was a power outage and Avand was very helpful in getting a generator setup until power was restored. I highly recommend this place.

Had a Great stay! Area was peaceful and the little house itself was very nice! It’s about 40 minutes from the nearest entrance to Yosemite. Price is a little high but if you plan on doing more than just staying inside the entire time, it’s well worth the trip. The only thing I can really complain about is the surrounding brush and landscape was completely dead, but I also chose to go in the summer so that should speak for itself 😅

A good stay if going to Yosemite. The area was quiet and peaceful. Do follow avands suggestion and arrive while it’s light out, at least for the first night. The place was nice and has all the amenities you would need to relax after a long day.

We loved our stay at the barn house! Avand was a great host and everything was exactly as pictured. The wifi had gone out on our first night for a few hours and Avand was very responsive and gave us timely updates. It was only for a few hours so we just took that time to explore the town and had dinner at the local restaurant. The views from the second floor were also incredible in the early mornings and late nights. We will definitely stay with him again when we come back to visit Yosemite! ⛰️⛰️

Had a fantastic stay here during my Yosemite trip. Loved how peaceful and private the barn was. The AC was strong (very important during a heat wave) and the heated bidets were a nice touch! Also loved that all the water came from the well and the fridge had its own cold water filter. Can’t wait to stay here again

One of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at!! A lovely peaceful cabin with a hot tub which we didn’t realise was included until we got there! The bed was so comfortable with the softest linen. Great bathrooms and kitchen had everything we needed. It was a 1hr drive to Yosemite and Avand was very responsive and helpful with a great book of recommendations and notes. We will definitely be back and recommend to others !

Being 20min. away from Mariposa town it was pretty perfect for us to stay out of Yosemite park. Instead we used the bus system (left our rental at the park and ride stop) to get to and into the park avoiding the hassle of getting a day pass required for private vehicles (which we couldn't get anyways, and plus if you come in the bus you skip the line and get to rest on the way to the park). Regarding the stay, we pretty much loved it. Most things were great, and not enough time to enjoy so many cool features of the place. My only recommendation is to have a small table lamp or floor lamp for the kitchen/dining area to avoid using the ceiling light. I personally like the very dim stove light under microwave but it was broken. Having coffee and the supplies to grind and prep saved our morning and made it so perfect. The place has a growing collection of wine bottle openers, I counted 4, so that was funny. The decor was very neat and we only regret not getting a 2nd night. Awesome! ty!

Quaint cabin with all the modern amenities! Location is about an hour to Tunnel View and easy to find on a paved road with neighbor houses in sight. We enjoyed our stay!

My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs over Christmas. This very cozy little cabin could not have been a more perfect getaway; honestly one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had. The kitchen was extremely well appointed (we cooked all our meals), the internet speed was very fast and easy to access, and Avand is a perfect host. Friendly, responsive, proactive communication and kind person. We would love to come back!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Avand and Connie’s space after a trip to Yosemite Valley. The space was clean, warm, and incredibly cozy and the provided amenities were very much appreciated. Me, my wife, and two pets had a great month-long stay in the "barn". The renovations done to make this a living space were really impressive and made us feel at home. In terms of the location, we loved being in the countryside where deer visited daily along with other wildlife. We were close to another cabin being rented but never had any problems and felt as though we had our privacy. We were a 20 minute drive from town, roughly an hour from Yosemite, and a few hours from Sequoia/Kings Canyon - which worked really well for what we were seeking to do with our time here. Avand and Connie were a great team to make us feel cared for and making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended for those seeking a short or longer-term place to stay in the Sierra foothills.

The place was great, it was clean. I loved all the house plants, however it would have been nice if they had some coffee. The coffee machine was there.

Quiet, spotless location. Built-in ice maker is a huge plus. The WiFi is strong and there are plenty of outlets. There are multiple seating areas. Good communication from host.

The view of the stars alone is worth the stay. Not to mention the deer in the morning, the comfort and welcoming note left for us! AC and air purifier were on before we even entered the door. Everything was perfect. The vibe felt like the host knew us personally it was so strange yet perfect at the same time. Will definitely be returning! Great place to stay if you’re visiting Yosemite! From the 41 I believe the entrance is about a 40 minute drive, and same for the entrance from the 49. Really enjoyed this place! The two bathrooms were such a selling point! Very clean and easy to find!

The barn is very confortable, quiet and like a "little cocoon". It is a good place to breathe a bit, even though you need to take your car to go hiking/visit trails as most of the paths around are for private property. Beautiful place with the chance to meet familiy of deers. The only "complaint" is for the checkout which was at 10am, and since we are night owls, It was complicated to wake up but it's understandable.

Great space and wildlife in the area! The barn was converted beautifully and is not too far from the Main and South Yosemite NP gets. It’s quick ride into town too.

We stayed here and drove 1:30 hours to Yosemite for a hike and Mariposa town is 15 minute drive away with some great places for takeaway pizza. Thanks for hosting us!

Great spot if your visiting Yosemite but do not want to stay somewhere immediately outside the park.

Felt like a brand new apartment with brand new amenities. About an hour to Yosemite national park and about an hour and half back to airbnb.

This place is absolutely adorable. Super clean, cute amenities. Only issue we had was that the bed and futon weren’t the most comfortable. Had we been staying longer I think my back would have paid the price. If you’re going to Yosemite from here be mindful it’s a 80 min drive one way. In the morning that didn’t bother me but coming home after hiking wasn’t the greatest. Overall , super cute place just needs some nicer sleeping and sitting furniture.

Beautifully located, beautifully appointed, elegantly equipped. The kitchen is equipped with great utensils, excellent knives, fully supplied with spices. Towels were fluffy, showers had wonderful pressure. Truly felt like a luxury rental, extremely close to two different entrances for Yosemite National Park.

Avand’s place was beautiful & peaceful! Perfect for a visit to Yosemite and not far from Mariposa. The home was unique in style and gave out a warm & cozy feeling. I would love to return one day!

Avand’s place was very peaceful. The whole aesthetic of the place made you feel right at home. Everything you could need in terms of utensils, Tupperware, body wash, etc was at this place which I really enjoyed, you don’t find that at much airbnbs in my experience. The hosts were also very friendly and always made sure our stay was enjoyable. I would definitely go back again!

Amazing air bnb! Has everything you need, and a great location to visit Yosemite. Felt safe, it was super clean, and host was very responsive. Overall and amazing stay, and would highly recommend!
